The CreatorsLAB is Edith Cowan University’s flagship innovation studio, designed to foster creativity, collaboration and emerging technologies within a highly flexible learning environment. Located within ECU City, the facility provides students and staff with an immersive space supporting digital innovation, creative practice and interdisciplinary collaboration through a series of adaptable teaching, workshop and demonstration spaces.

Curved walls, sculptural bulkheads and complex feature ceilings combine with premium architectural finishes to create a seamless environment that reflects the innovative purpose of the facility. Successful delivery required extensive design coordination and buildability input throughout construction to resolve complex geometries and maintain the architect’s vision. With almost every wall incorporating curved forms and the majority of feature finishes being custom fabricated, the project demanded meticulous planning, precise setting out and a consistently high standard of workmanship. Cubic’s in-house technical expertise and experienced site team worked closely with project stakeholders to successfully deliver one of the most architecturally detailed fitouts within the ECU City precinct.
